about the authors
Klaus Burmeister is a future scientist. After training as an electrical engineer he studied political science in Hamburg and Berlin. Since 1986, he has been in executive positions in a number of institutions dedicated to scientific future studies. In 1997, he founded Z_punkt GmbH ”The Foresight Company” (Essen / Karlsruhe / Berlin) and has since been its managing director. He advises businesses on issues of social change and long-term economic developments.
Andreas Neef is one of Z_punkt The Foresight Company’s managing directors. He studied and taught informational science, philosophy, and business administration at the Free University in Berlin. Since the early 1990s, Mr Neef has worked as an expert future scientist and innovation adviser. At Z_punkt, he is in charge of innovation and foresight projects for well-known corporations. He has also written a number of articles and books, the most recent being Corporate Foresight – Companies Shape the Future.
